with means for heating the incoming feed by mixing it
with hot water from the economiser outlet must have a
non-return valve in the hot water return line. |

Reserve Flues |

| In every case a reserve
flue shall be provided for by passing the flue gases when
no water is being fed to the boiler through the economizer
where it is not integral with the boiler. |

| To relieve the economisers
of excessive pressure accumulation due to internal explosion
doors preferably of horizontally hinged ‘self-sealing’
type shall be fitted. |
